The program introduces students to rotoscoping, paint, tracking, compositing, 3D assets, lighting, surfacing, environments, simulation, virtual production, production coordination, and professional presentation. Students do not need to arrive with a declared specialty. Repeated applied work helps reveal whether they are strongest in precision craft, visual integration, environment building, procedural effects, real-time production, or pipeline operations.
What Students Build
Students produce roto and paint work, clean plates, camera solves, tracked shots, integrated composites, 3D assets, lighting studies, textured surfaces, digital environments, matte paintings, simulations, real-time scenes, breakdown sheets, portfolio evidence, and a professional reel.
The program culminates in a focused VFX capstone that may combine live-action plates, CG integration, advanced compositing, environment work, simulation, or virtual production. Students must explain their process, identify their contribution, respond to critique, document revisions, and make any AI-supported workflow visible.
